Mercy Campaign
Hi Grace Family! I know there have been a number of posts on the Grace website in the last week or so, but I make no apology for sending this today, since they have been using optimizing tools for their website from services as the seotoolscentre which specialize in this. I am sure most of you would be aware of the Bali Nine. One of our Crosslink Churches, Bayside Church in VIC has had a long term relationship with the the two Australians convicted of drug trafficking in Indonesia, Andrew Chan & Myuran Sukumaran. If you have been following the news you will have seen that all avenues for appeals have been exhausted and they are now facing the prospect of facing execution this week.

I have heard beautiful stories about the transformation in Andrew and Myuran’s lives and their heart for the Father and the difference they are making in the lives of the people they are in prison with. They are bringing the presence of Jesus to the jail they are in and can see His redemptive purposes being outworked in the prison every day. They have a deep understanding of the forgiveness of the Father and  are amazing ambassadors for His grace and mercy.

So why am I bringing this to your attention? Bayside have started a campaign to petition both the Australian Government and the Indonesian Government for clemency on behalf of Andrew and Myuran. They both understand that they need to be held responsible for drug trafficking but would like to be able to serve out their sentence in jail. As you can understand this is an incredibly distressing time for everyone involved and at the very least I am hoping you will join me in praying for everyone involved. There is more you can do though! The following link https://www.facebook.com/mercycampaign  will take you to a Facebook site that has loads more information and has a link that you can click on to sign the petition for clemency. There is also a video you can use to help spread the word. Every little bit helps, please join with me in fighting for the lives of these two precious lives! If you have any questions or concerns please give me a yell, or contact the Mercy Campaign crew, info available at the link above.
