What Do You Want Me To Do For You?

“What do you want me to do for you?”

Jesus of Nazareth

blind-manAs Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, a blind man named Bartimaeus, was sitting by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”  A lot of the people told him to stop, but he just yelled out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called him and said,  “Cheer up and get up because Jesus is calling you.”

He threw off his cloak, jumped up and came to Jesus. Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Teacher, I want to be able to see.”

Jesus said, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” Immediately his sight was restored and followed him along the road.

JESUS ASKS THE SAME QUESTION AND MAKES THE SAME PROMISE TO YOU.  JUST DO THE SAME AS THIS MAN DID –  ASK JESUS TO MEET YOUR DEEPEST FELT NEED.
